weird problem??

i just have noticed that any products from my oscommerce with a value 50 usd and over does not allow for a customer to proceed to check out screen where they select a payment option?? what settings are responsible for such a weird behavior???

hmm to add to the weirdness of this problem:

 

if i have an item with 1 usd price - and put in quantity 50 - the the total is 50 bucks - when user click in check out again the page is not forwarded to the checkout - but if he puts 49 in quantity to make the total 49 bucks then he is able to get forwarded to the payment type selector page

heheh - figured that out finally - any shipping module needs to be installed - then the checkuot button will let buyers to continue -
