elite Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I was setting up my SSL certificate earlier today and messed something up in the process. I now get this error: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/elite7/public_html/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. When I went into my FTP client (SmartFTP) the permissions for this configure file are set to 644, so I changed them to 444. But for some reason everytime I exit that folder the permissions mysteriously change back to 644 and the error persists. I can't figure this out, if anyone has any information I would be very grateful. -Brad www.EliteHookah.com
spax Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 It could be a server setting, stopping you from changing permissions via FTP. You could see if you can change them from your control panel - cpanel or similar. If not, you can ask your host to do it for you. Another way is to use PHPs chmod function, but you can't do that to files you have FTP'd.
