blessed Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I keep getting this error: PHP Parse error: parse error in d:\home\xxxxxx\personalizedgifts\includes\configure.php on line 16 I have checked and rechecked, but an not able to resolve. I tried a clean install and it won't set up the file it needs to be done manually, and I'm stuck! Here's the file, user name and pass removed, of course. <?php /* $Id: configure.php,v 1.14 2003/02/21 16:55:24 dgw_ Exp $ osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright (c) 2002 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ // define our webserver variables // FS = Filesystem (physical) // WS = Webserver (virtual) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.stitchinit.com'); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.stitchinit.com'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.stitchinit.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '\home\xxxxxx\'); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. Guest Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 heres your problem: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.stitchinit.com'); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG change to: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.stitchinit.com'); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG
blessed Posted April 2, 2006 Author Posted April 2, 2006 Tried that, didn't make any difference. Thanks.
blessed Posted April 2, 2006 Author Posted April 2, 2006 Tried that, didn't make any difference. Thanks. Ok, well it helps if I'm working in the right config file. I resolved the parse errors. Now I'm getting this 1046 - No database selected select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration [TEP STOP] Can some one tell me what that means? I thought the database had installed correctly?
Avec Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I think your database needs to be define by localhost. Is it on another machine or hosted elsewhere? Is that why you use an IP, or was that filler?
