Iggy Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Hi there, I'm about to delve into adding the California Redemption Value (CRV) to a store selling beverages in bottles and thought I'd see if anyone had some advice on how to achieve it. The CRV requires that every glass bottle sold (they sell in cases) have a set number added to it's price. Not a percentage of the item but a single number. So no matter if the case o' goodies cost $12.95 or $1000 the CRV would still be 96 cents. This number, though set, can be different depending on the size of the bottle though so it has to be per item. It must be displayed as the CRV and can't be added to the price as we don't want to charge tax on tax. Poking around I don't see a ready-made contribution and on first blush it looks like modifying VAT would be the way to go. Anyone else dealt with adding this kind charge or can point me in the right direction before I begin? Thanks much, Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...
