ddp Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 (edited) Hi all I was wondering what happens to the old urls after the SEO URLs contribution is installed? My site has many other sites linking to varous product pages. I am trying to avoid having to get other websites to update their links as they are maintained by others who take a long time to do anything. These links are to pages like product www.mysite.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=64 etc. Would pages like these still be accessable after the install of the SEO URLs contribution? or would new links have to be made to these products on the other sites. Thanks in advance for any advice. Edited March 31, 2006 by ddp Quote Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh?

The old links will then be automatically redirected to the new ones. Alternatively you can create your own 301 redirect script adjusted to work with one of the other seo/sef contributions too.
