Guest Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Hi i am having problems at the moment, i have product images some which are more vertical then horizontal and vice versa and i would like the horizontal to show up horizontal and the verital to show up vertical, any one have any ideas or any mods that can help me with this as i am stuck at the moment, thanks.
cayenne Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I think this is a pretty backward way of doing it, but since I'm practically useless at programming, I do what works. I use Photoshop (or Image Ready) to open the photo I want to upload. I crop the photo how I like it, and I go to Image>Image Size. For Vertical Pictures, I constrain the photo size to 400 pixels tall, and I constrain Horizontal Pictures to 500 pixels wide. I like this size because it's decent quality when enlarged but not a huge file. You can use any numbers that match your image size settings - I may have set mine to the 80x100 they use now, so adapt your sizes accordingly. Anyway, after setting your 'max' size, go to Image>Canvas Size, and set the picture size equal to 400x500. You want the picture to center in the new canvas. Depending on your background color, you can make the blank space white or clear or whatever you want, and the photo doesn't get stretched. Hope this helps!
