HTML emails

Hi all,

 

When it comes to sending HTML email newsletters to my customers through os commerce, how do i write the html code?

 

Can i just use a HTML program like Dreamweaver and write it as one would do a web page, or is there a special program for writing the HTML code for HTML emails?

Hey Paul,

 

you could use every program, even notepad :D

But be aware, that in order to get your newsletter look the same in different mailclients, i suggest to use simple code...

Hi Steve,

 

I've created a nice looking e-mail template, I allow HTML emails in my oscommerce setup, and then send the email, but all I can see in my email client is the root code, no fancy looking HTML email.

 

Is there any simple rules to follow for this not to happen?
