You need to contact Authorize.net and setup an account with them and get a merchant account. Then they give you a login/password and a transaction key to put in to the mod an get it running.

Just install it from the admin tool and enter your login and transaction key. That's it.

I have question when a user checks out now it shows payment Authorize.net If I rename this in the admin screen to Credit Card Payment it will not effect anything, right? I figure it is just a label nothing more. I want to change as to not confuse customers who do not know Authorize.net

You can't rename it via the Admin. Find this file:

includes/languages/english/modules/payment/authorizenet.php

and change this:

define('MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_TEXT_TITLE', 'Authorize.net');

to this:

define('MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_TEXT_TITLE', 'Credit Card Payment');

hi I did everything that was suggested is seems that the test information is being installed and cant be un installed and might be blocking authorize.net from recieveing information. Is there a code to use to send the transactions to authorize.net? I have an account and the information is correct but will not install with the TP code in. What are the steps to get it done? I see the last posts were last year any updates I need to put in?

your response is welcome.

Best Wishes
