arki Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I want to have a shopping cart that forces an "install target as" download popup that appears immediately after the products have been paid for. I'm selling files that will be downloaded by the user directly from my web space and I don't want the customers to be aware of the storage location of the files. Is this possible and could someone explain how this could be done?

Or you could pasword protect your file storage / download directory with a htaccess file.. anyone trying to access it will be faced with a pop up box asking for a user and password thus allowing for no access anyway :) Thats what I have done.. same with the admin directory too. Just an alternate Idea
Mediajuggle Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 1. the download directory can be protected with an htaccess file... mine is... 2. if you set it download by redirect, the customers won't be aware of where your files are located by default... you need to read the documentation on the downloads: http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/documentation My Contribution Music Download Store Template http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4275
arki Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 How easily does osCommerce work in unison with Dreamweaver MX? Is it a simple process?
mickyd Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I use dreamweaver to edit all my files.. or you can just edit them with plain old notepad :)
