Fed Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I'm setting up a store and basically I only need to accept paypal to sell downloadable stuff since paypal can process credit cards too I'd like to accept them as well in the oscommerce configuration (Payment Modules) should I select also credit cards or only paypal (and once there people can choose how to pay)? I mean, selecting paypal am I implicitly allowed to process cards as usual with paypal? thanks for the suggestions :)
Guest Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 selecting paypal will allow you to accept credit card payment selecting credit card will take the payment info and send it to your server then you will have to perform the transaction with the customers credit card and purchase info manually. I think you only need paypal active
Fed Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 this is exactly the clarification I was looking for thanks ;)
ozcsys Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 To accept credit cards via paypal you need to make sure you do not still have a personal account. If you do y ou will need to upgrade to a premier or business account. Also if you want to accept cc's from non-paypal members you will need to go into the profile of your paypal account and choose to do so otherwise paypal will requiere anybody that shops at your site to sign up for an account before paying. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
