accelerator Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hi All I need to get oscommerce integrated with Protx form. I have seen that there is a module for doing this. Having put through a preliminary osc transaction, I see there is an osc field where it asks for the credit card number. Is this something that can be removed? As I do not have SSL on my server, I cannot have credit card numbers being entered into oscommerce forms and stored in the database. I want all the credit card input to be done at the Protx form stage. Is this what the Protx form module will do for me? Many thanks Accelerator Quote
andyEPP Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 in a nutshell, yes when you have the protx form enabled in your store, your customer enters their delivery address etc, is presented with a summary of cost + delivery and then is taken to the protx form to enter the CC details upon a successful transaction the browser goes back to the shop, gives them their reference number and the "thank you for shopping" page. the form is relatively simple to setup. i have recently changed from the form to protx direct as its more "Professional" to do all the transactions via the store. (ssl cert included, of course) Quote
AppliedServers Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Just to point out that I got caught out by this as well. As far as I could see when you use Protx you should not be asked for your credit card details from within OScommerce. The boxes for card details which you are seeing are, I think, because you have the credit card module enabled in oscommerce. If you log in as your site admin and navigate to the payment modules page you will see a list of loaded modules. On mine the second one down is credit card. If the next colum has a 0 in it then this module is activated and this is why you are been prompted for credit card details. If you click on this line and then choose the edit button on the right you should get an option to disable this module. If you disable it and then click the update button to save your setting you should find that when you place a test order and get to the payment point that the credit card boxes have gone. Hope this helps - it worked for me! Mark Quote Mark Swimming Pool Test Strips
