lw-d Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hi all, Newbie here, I have come from a CMS background, I use Joomla! extensively, obviously, its lack of eCommerce integration has led me to osCommerce, which looks awesome by the way. I have a couple of questions though: 1. Is it possible to add additional static pages to the site, things like contact us, about us etc? 2. Is it possible to allow a shopper to view their order history? Thanks.

Yes, customers can see their order history, up to an admin defined limit. Lee
lw-d Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Thanks for the quick reply Lee, Order history, ooh, thats nice, so a shopper can login and view everything they have ever bought from the store... nice. With regards to the pages, lets say there is a page that doesn't come installed out of the box. How would I go about creating one? Obviously, I will need to create the page and also add a link the menu... how do I do this? More of a general question, how do change the design of the site?
leehayes Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 With regards to the pages, lets say there is a page that doesn't come installed out of the box. How would I go about creating one? Obviously, I will need to create the page and also add a link the menu... how do I do this? I find changing the look of the site fairly easy. The colours etc can be controlled simply by changing the stylesheet. Adding new pages would be easy, once you knew where to put the code. Which somebody will kindly provide. Search the forums or try the contributions pages (there's loads of info in there, modifications etc), i'm sure there is one in there that gives it you in easy steps. Adding links etc can be done, but without my installation in front of me I can't provide specific detail. Perhaps someone else can help, anyone.....
lw-d Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Thanks for the info. I will take a look around the forums.
