Special pricing when creating product

I have the customer discounts contribution installed. I am using "specials" pricing to fix the price on certain products. The client I am working with has problems with the dropdown menu on the specials page in selecting the product to add special pricing. Can someone help with a way of adding the specials pricing on the main admin products section. In other words, when adding a new product or editing, we would like a box where we could put the special pricing so that price is locked, no matter what the customers discount amount is.

 

For instance, my customer manufactures products. We allow typically 15% discount for these products. This works great with the customer discount contribution. But certain items, such as a truck chassis, has virtually no markup margin, so we set the price as "special" which in effect locks the price. Problem is, this takes two steps. One to create the product and then the other step of going to the specials section, finding the product in the dropdown, and then setting the "fixed" price there. We would like to have the option of "fixing" the price while creating the new product.

 

Can someone help us out here?
