How to keep OSC up2date with 3rd party modules

Hello!

 

I have installed some modules from the community area here, such as featured products and special offers, etc....

But i guess those will be lost with the nex OSC update.

 

How do you guys solve this problem?

I am missing some sort of module support which wont be touched when you update your OSC

As far as i see OSC ist simply not ready for 3rd party modules or something alike.

If you use the "out of the box" osc then you are set, if not its all gonna be a mess!!

Huh? Wha? Not sure that's a particularly helpful answer. And wrong to boot.

 

The next osC (ms3) will supposedly be a major refactoring of the codebase and will break most (all?) contributions. The way to handle it is to wait until the authors update the contribs, do it yourself or stick with MS2.

 

Of course, MS3 has to be released before it will be an issue anyways ;)
