Guest Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Hello All, Being a new user to shopping cart software, I am fairly complete with the configuration of OSCommerce. Thanks to the people that made this software available for free. At the moment it is needed but somehow will figure out how to contribute a financial payout to whomever gets it. Anyway, I have only one product that I want to provide available to the customer for download and do not understand how this is done. I have read the docs, have the switches, bells and whistles set properly I believe, the product (digital .zip file) is upload by FTP to the pub/ directory, but after I have selected it and gone through the checkout after using the check/money order way, the only way I can figure out how to notify the customer is by using the process area in the admin side, changing it to 'Delivered' and including a manual typed URL to get the file to download. Is there another way? Such as when the customer pays for the item, they are provided with a link automatically? I could set up an autoresponder account that would do this, but that seems rather unprofessional considering that all the rest of my catalog items are real world items that I will be shipping to them.
