Email Non-virtual Gift Certificate

My company sells gift certificates for its product line. A gift certificate can be emailed or mailed. These gift certificates are not for the web, but for in-store credit. They have a number that is auto-generated on them so the store can put them in their pos database when a customer comes in for redemption.

 

Does such a thing exist for oscommerce? and if not, any thoughts on how much effort it would be to build? I've seen modules that do everything else with gift certificates, but most of them are usable for the website..

this creates a certificate that creates a balance on the web site. our site does need to create a unique code, but the code and the certificate should not be usable on the website.

I see, you could only deploy the admin part of the contribution. That generates the emails needed and the codes. But in all it has everything should cover what you're looking for.

Thanks. I installed it again, and think i can see some ways to make this work -- wish me luck on not breaking too much with this!
