The FTP program have three options to upload files to a server:

ASCII, binary and Auto.

What option i use to upload the files to my host?

Thanks all.

Basically, text type files (.txt, .html, .php etc) should be uploaded in ASCII. Media type files (.gif, .jpg, .swf etc) should be uploaded in Binary. Auto will select an appropriate mode.

Yes, oscommerce 'files' should be uploaded in ASCII mode. Using Auto-Select doesn't always do that. It's best to set your ftp programme to upload files of a certain type (.php .html etc) in ASCII mode, and then you can use Auto-Select without any problems.
