funkymonkey Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Hi, when an order is completed and paid for, neither the customer nor the store owner is receiving an email with the order information. How do I fix this? Thanks.
Qihun Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Check if only this kind of email not being sent out. Maybe email removed by spamfilter from the emailbox.
funkymonkey Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 would changing how the email is sent in the admin panel - ie: sendmail or smtp work? i tried sending a an email to my "test customer account" through the admin panel with that setting set to sendmail and it didn't come through. when i changed it to smtp it came through. i haven't tried another order yet.
Duke1974 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I'm also having this issue. No email notifications are being sent to us when an order has occured. Anyone have a solution for this. I've tried change the email address several times to see if it was perhaps just our domain name emails, yet we still recieve no notification. Thanks
funkymonkey Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 are your customers getting the emails and not you or both? neither one are getting the emails here....
funkymonkey Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 okay, i fixed it myself. this is what i did; Under Configuration - My Store to have emails come to you, the owner - in the Send Extra Order Emails To field, make sure your email address is here. to make sure the emails go through period, whether it's to you or your customer, under Configuration - Email options, i had to change the E-mail Transport Method from sendmail to SMTP. hope this helps for you too..
Duke1974 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 In my case my customers recieve the emails, but we do not. Even if we change our email address to anything, even a hotmail we don't get notified. We have extra emails in the additional email notification as well.
