Alll you need to do is password protect the catalog/admin directory. There are two ways of doing this ... The first, easiest way is to take a look at whatever admin tool your host provides (hosting admin, not osC admin). Common tools are cPanel and Plesk. Depending on how these have been configured, they generally include a "password protect directories" tool which will do the job for you quickly and easily. If you don't have access to anything like this, you'll need to manually create .htaccess and .htpasswd files. If you do a Google search for those, you'll find plenty of help and advice.
