Enabling PayPal

Can someone give us direction on how to enable pay pal and have it activated to the point it collects the payment from the customer and the shop gets the money? We have our shopping cart working and have the u/p from paypal, what to do next?

you need to go into your Admin>Modules>Payment option and install the paypal option. you need to be a paypal customer though ;)

Thanks for responding! We enabled it in the payment module but what do we need to do to actually make the call to paypal (we are a paypal customer) when the customer selects to use paypal as the method of payment?

When the customer clicks to pay, it goes to paypal, but how does it know the merchant to be paid?

you need to make sure you add the e-mail that you are signed on with on paypal. Go to Admin>Modules>payments then (click the install button if you have not done that yet (I know you said you did so you are good, just wanted to make sure) click the edit button and edit your options like this:

PayPal

 

Enable PayPal Module

True

 

E-Mail Address

**[email protected]** put your paypal emailhere

 

Transaction Currency

Selected Currency

 

Payment Zone

**select your state here**

 

Set Order Status

default

 

Sort order of display.
