www.sewingcenter.us Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I had about 1 to 2 sales a week with few inquiries about items. But after upgrade to newest release of os commerce sales have dropped to 0 and 0 inquiries. I've tested site and it works great. I know that I don't have all products listed but still people where buying items or asking for them. Can someone look and see if my site is broken, bad or just garbage. I've had a store online for years and always had sales, traffic is showing up on site. Will be glad to get any input...good..bad otherwise... Buy stuff on site if you'd like use the fake credit card number 41...1 thanks let me know if you buy or not.. Thanks java script:emoticon(":'(", smilie
Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 test the cart yourself, regurally. pretend you're a new customer, open an account, etc. - that's the only way to know, aside of a potential customer complaining... but you'll eventually notice these types of people are few and far between. most of the time, if your site is broke they will leave and go to your competitor who's cart is fully functional instead. did you change the structure of the urls? if so, you may have been temporarily knocked out of the search engines (if this is where you got your sales from in the first place)
www.sewingcenter.us Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 eww I've tested it several times had friends test the thing, and yes all sales came from search engines. Maybe the urls is all that is wrong. Thanks
running wolf Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 You are not the only one who's sales has dropped, same here. Yes, I do test my site once in a while and yesterday I had a canadian customer buy a bunch of stuff but paid with paypal, unconfirmed address, did not open an account despite the 10% off offer for new accounts and did not answer to emails. Guess I won't ship............. Kristine Running Wolf
Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 if we're talking about just a dip in sales: i can agree! mine are $1500 below last month's! :'(
running wolf Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Kinda makes me feel a little better, I thought something must be seriously wrong with my website. Hope and keep my fingers crossed for better sales for all of us. Kristine Running Wolf

Good chance that you have dropped and you need to try and figure out why if that is the case. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
