eko Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Hello all i get this warning on top of every page of oscommerce: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: C:/apache2triad/htdocs/index/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. its highligted in red it contains the password and all but iam unsure on how to set this thing can anyone help please. :thumbsup:

toto46 Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 HI Its just a question of setting the correct rights on the file if you are running apache on linux set to 444 if you are running apache on windows right click the file in your site directory and set to read only. You have the path to the file right here C:/apache2triad/htdocs/index/catalog/includes/configure.php hope this helps

This is done via your webserver usually using .htaccess or an automatic directory password protect function on your webserver. If you don't know how to use .htaccess check this out: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess.shtml Your server should also be able to help you with this configuration .
