Hello

How/where do I remove the explaining text on index page?

It says "1. Error messages, 2. Editing page text... and so on"

That is the text I want to remove.

How do I do that?

Thankyou in advance.

Hi,

If you can read that welcome text it gives you the link [pagename] where you can edit or remove the text.

cheers!

True. Read welcome text and it will tell you which file to be edited. If I remember correctly, it should be \catelog\includes\language\english.php

its \catelog\includes\language\english\index.php - English is a folder.

You're half right!

There is an english.php in the languages folder, which has the greeting. And there is index.php in the english folder, which has the main body text.

Go to english.php you will get this line.

define('TEXT_GREETING_PERSONAL', 'Welcome back <span class="greetUser">%s!</span> Would you like to see which <a href="%s"><u>new products</u></a> are available to purchase?');

edit it.
