Hi,

I've got a question about the import function in Easy Populate;

When I import a file, and it contains some new products; when the category is empty, the products aren't added properly.

You don't see any errors or something, it just says: "new product!"

But when I afterwards search for this product, OS Commerce can not find it. So it looks like, that it's not added.

The problem is, that we can not export any product cateregories from our current software. So I prefer that when a new product is added, and it contains no category field, that it would be added in the "root" of the catalog, under the catergories (don't know how to explain this better).

Does anyone know how I can solve this? Because I'm already busy with it for days, and now starting to loose hope :huh:

Thanks already! :thumbsup:

I've tried some more, and I came to the conclusion that my first story is not completely correct:

When I don't use the categorie field (v_categories_name_1) in the import file, OS Commerce can not find the product back. Just like I told before... But it is added in the database though!

And when I use the categorie field , and I leave it empty; the new products are added just the way I want, you can find them in the "root" of the catalog.

BUT!! All the product that where allready in, are also taken out of the categories, and placed into the "root"

This is also not that way I want it... >_<

So I hope there is some way, that when you don't use the catecorgie field; that the products that are already in are updated, just like now. But when there are new products, it adds them in the "root of the catalog".

:blink:
