On installing the packge everything went fine until I got to the part where it tried to write the details inot the config.php file It showed this

The following error has occurred:

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

Please perform the following actions:

cd /home/fhlinux192/r/rbsspares.co.uk/user/htdocs/catalog/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /home/fhlinux192/r/rbsspares.co.uk/user/htdocs/catalog/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

If chmod 706 does not work, please try chmod 777.

If you are running this installation procedure under a Microsoft Windows environment, try renaming the existing configuration file so a new file can be created.

OK fine I thought. lets change the attribs to the file to MOD777 did this through FTP in ascii mode. Everything on the server showed fine. A bit extreme with 777 but if it solves the problem for now. Did full log off. However NO JOY have tried it with both mod777 and mod706.

Server showing the attribs set.

Anyone any ideas how to solve this problem.

Server System is Linx with mysql.

YOUR AWESOME. This is the only post that helped me proceed past this part of the installation. Wonder why they don't have it posted in the instructions that you have to have BOTH configure.php files in the "includes" and "admin/includes" folders set to 777 at this point?? Or did I miss it? Thanks a bunch!!!
