Apologies if this has already been covered, but I can't find anything, and I'm a newbie, so any help is much appreciated.

I want to set up the following system for a UK shop (I'm not intending to ship overseas):

Orders ?25 or more within specified postal districts (eg PO1, PO2 etc) can have free delivery.

Orders of ?100 or more can have free devlivery, nationwide

All other orders will have a standard delivery charge, according to weight.

I'm testing ocC "out of the box" - is this model possible? Do I need to install a contribution for achieve this? If so, which one?

Please point me in the right direction! Thanks.

You can't do it "out of the box". You'll need to install the following contribution -

My client recently had exactly the same problem as you and this contribution did the trick

OK, I've tried to install this (the MultiGeoZone one) on a test site, and failed dismally.

It's the link to the postcode which is important: I want customers in specified postal districts to automatically get free delivery. Looking at this, I can't see where I input these districts so that the system thinks "A-ha! No need to add a shipping charge".

Any other suggestions? Or have I just configured this wrong (which is perfectly possible!).

you would have to modify the shipping module (whichever you use) to take into account the post code field of the addess book and not the zone. So you could check if the shipping is for PO1, PO2 etc and return 0 as the quote for free delivery.

That contribution takes into account zones not postcodes.
