BentPennies Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I'm just setting up my webstore and I thought I got it all under control so I was testing the site out putting it through its paces. everything was working fine until I went to enter into the checkout procedure.when I clicked on the checkout button I got an error message: The connection to bentpennies.com has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been sent. Has anybody ever encountered this error before?
Guest Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hi. One silly mistake that I made early in the piece was to set ENABLE_SSL to true in includes.configure when SSL was not assigned to the site. If you are not using SSL, make sure that ENABLE_SSL is set at false. If you have SSL, make sure that your address in HTTPS_SERVER is correct (generally is the same as HTTP_SERVER except that http:// is replaced with https://) BTW. You site is rolling off the right side of the screen in IE6 with monitor set at 1024. Hope this helps
BentPennies Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Yep that could be the problem. When I set OScommerce up, using Fantastico, it asked me if I wanted SSL I don't have that part setup yet so perhaps that is the problem. Thanks for the feedback on the site. I am not exactly sure why it's doing that. Looks great in Netscape but then again IE 6 is a little out of date. I wish Microsoft would get it in gear and update their Internet explorer. A lot of sites starting to look funky using IE 6.
BentPennies Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Yep that was the problem. All better now thanks
