Add specials

I want to add items to display as a special, but do not know how to do this. I would like have a special that says receive free t-shirt with a $30+ order. How can I do this? I would like to use the specials window, but I can not figure how to add items as specials. Any suggestions?

To add a special, you just go to admin->catalog->specials and insert a product. To have ti show the text you want, you will need to edit the code.

How do I insert a product? I do not have any options. Below is what happens when I click specials from the admin console.

to fix this error and I would recommend to update your store to the latest osc version.
