superuser2000 Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hello, I have setup a test server to try installing oscommerce. I have IIS 6, PHP 5, and mysql5 installed on the computer. I downloaded oscommerce template from this site (www.oscommerce.com) ran through the install and configured everything and the web page works just fine. I bought a bunch of templates to make it look lil bit nicer. When i try go through the install random things happen first of all i see code on the page. http://63.149.43.235:9000 right now none of the pictures work which from outside but locally i can see the pictures but the main problem is the code you see on the page? why is it doing that. My web server is processing php cuz the regular oscommerce works just fine. What could be the problem someone please help! ive spent over 4 days on this now
CGIMana Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 You don't have your PHP server installed correctly. I have the same problem..but instead of trying to show code, it tried to download it in a file. WHat i did was just make a new dir on my current web site called osctest..and did it from there,
superuser2000 Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 php does work from what I can see. if you go to http://63.149.43.235:9000 that is where i am using a template i purchased and you see the code. if you go to http://63.149.43.235:9000/oscommerce this is where i installed the oscommerce template i downloaded from this site www.oscommerce.com so what can I be doing wrong ? this on works just fine its only the templates i purchased that dont work... if it was php misconfigured it should ot work either way ??
custodian Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Well the first thign you should do is modify your configure.php files to match your temp settings Enter http://63.149.43.235:9000 and /oscommerce/ where applicable. You have it set up for http://www.dp.com which is causing problems to begin with. Get it working first then make the changes to http://www.dp.com afterwards My Contributions Henry Smith
