thisiz Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I have tried and tried but to no avail ... this is my last chance! Background info: I have my own fresh installed debian machine with osCommerce installed. As I am new to both these ... I have not made any changes to the default settings. Of course .... all the requirements to install osCommerce have been fulfilled (eg, Apache2 , PHP4, My-SQL) and I can get access to the store via the Internet. Problem: I am trying to secure my admin area but no luck. I have tried creating the .htaccess and .htpasswd within debian, have tried through Webmin and also failed. It just goes straight through to the admin page. I have modified the /etc/apache2/apache.conf file but also failed. All help will be greatly appreciated. I will be willing to give access to website and ssh access if need be.[email protected]

I'll check the apache.conf, configure.php's and the .htaccess settings. My Contributions Henry Smith
