Authorize.net consolidated 1.7b worked fine on old server but now it doesn't

hi! i had Authorize.net consolidated 1.7b working fine on our old server, but then our host insisted we migrate to a new server and now we get the dreaded

"The server cannot connect to Authorize.net. Please check your cURL and server settings."

we've changed nothing in authnet configuration and nothing in the module configuration.

we don't have any referrer or relay URLs set up on the authnet side. the host insists that cURL is running as a compiled service.

we have a 128 bit shared SSL cert properly configured.

we've tried inserting a new transaction key.

we've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module from admin.

any help much appreciated!

yeah, like from Hostway tech support. they required me to migrate to a new server which doesn't have cURL support properly compiled. now they say i have to migrate again. i have people on a trade show floor in california right now trying to do sales and they can't. thanks Hostway.

thanks much but the issue has been resolved by a migration.
