jacven Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Hi I have OsC 2.2 and when I try to do a site backup I get following error: error 500: Internal Server Error The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. I have almost 300 products and 430 customers registered. My OSC is hosted at 1and1, last successful backup was last week and size was almost 14 mb THanks-
kgt Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Error 500's are a generic, catch-all error for when something goes wrong. Your host may have error logs available to you through your control panel. Otherwise, contact them to see if you can get some more information. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
jacven Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Yes unfortunately my host (1and) does not allow me to see error logs. I have contact them but I haven't got any answer :(
jacven Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 My host has not replied to me yet, so what else can I do? Thanks.
kgt Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 You can make a backup using phpMyAdmin. You can try making a back up through OSC admin that you download to your local machine. It's difficult to know what the problem is without an error. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
jacven Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 And if I want yo restore or something I just populate from the file that phpMyAdmin generated for me? Thanks.
Jack_mcs Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 My host has not replied to me yet, so what else can I do?Thanks. Did you make any changes recently, like installing contributions? It could be that your host changed something on their end that is causing the problem. If they won't talk to you about it, you may be stuck. Does the error occur on the shop side, admin side or both? If you can isolate where the error is occurring, you may stand a better chance of finding the cause. jacven Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Hi, no I haven't installed any other contribution, I had installed a couple but it was very long time ago and backup was working fine. The error is only occuring from Admin side. Thanks.
Jack_mcs Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Then you should talk to your host and explain that the shop was working fine and nothing was changed. They, hopefully, will look into it.
