I'm installing osC on a windows server.

Got through the installation process, connected to the database, but at the end I got the following:

Warning: fopen(.../www/catalog/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 209

Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 210

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 211

Warning: fopen(.../www/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 259

Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 260

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in ...\www\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 261

The configuration was successful! :o

Clicking on the 'catalog' button, I got the following:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in ...\www\catalog\includes\functions\database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

Clicking on the 'admin tool' button, I got the following:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'mysql'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in E:\Inetpub\wwwroot\virtual\richard\alpacasontheweb.com\www\catalog\admin\includes\functions\database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

Checked the config.php > all values are empty.

What am I doing wrong???

:o

Cheers,

Susan

The configuration files must be writeable during installation.

I have figured, and tried to change permission, but I couldn't. Then I checked the osDox, that says you don't need to change permission on Windows. This is my first time working on Win server.

Any windows people around?

Or is there an installation instruction specifically for win?

thanx in advance,

Cheers,

Susan

 Wolf,

I'm not quite sure what you're saying.
