Guest Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 OK maybe I'm dim but I'm a windows man. Give me an access database and asp and I never seem to have problems getting pages up that work instantly (well most of the time). I've looked through my isp so called help pages but they are not making sense to me. My isp is using the Plesk control panel which I have never used before either. So I'm to put it bluntly STUCK! From the Plesk control panel I have set up a sample database having been unable to direct MySQL server to the sample database. I surely can make a direct to the sample database without having to create a new one, can't I?? On trying to point the install page on the osCommerce installation section I cannot get past the first screen as I don't know the dB servers IP so am going round in circles. I really would appreciate some advice in plain English as to what to do> Thanks in advance, Malex

PLESK may also give you an indication of where it is connected to (possibly the browser address bar?) If you ISP is never there, it may be time to switch to another one. I can't recommend anything here.. board rules - regardless... You don't need your ISP, they need you. My Contributions Henry Smith
