does oscommerce run on macs?

Hi,

 

I've been looking thru this site, and don't see a download option for Apple Mac systems. All I see is windows and lunux.

 

does oscommerce run on Mac's?

Neither - OSC runs on a webserver. So it either needs to be installed on a Linux/Unix box or a Windows one. You can then use a Mac to access the Admin Tool (via your web browser) to update/run/maintain your store.

Not so, there are plenty of people who have it running on local Macs. You'll need to install MySQL and enable php.

 

Or there are alternative packages from sites like http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

 

BTW, the Mac is a UNIX box.
