I install apache2 and php.....when i go to http://localhost/ IE tries to save the auto find php file to localhost file with no extension. html work fine..but

well, you have to setup the apache configuration so it runs php files via the php processor otherwise it sees it just as a normal text file.

What do you mean apache won't run? If I go to you cet-online.com the page shows up.. so apache is running.

So what are you referring to in "IT" won't run?

And you do know that localhost typed from your OWN computer means that it is looking in YOUR comptuer, not the server where the store is at? (Unless they are one in the same)

The easiest way to do that is to install xampp which has the apache, mysl and php all set to go in it with a single installation. Have you tried this?
