custodian Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Hi Is it possible to put an .htaccess password on the admin directory and its sub-directories? What are the implications? Thanks Peter You can, what what a pain in the butt that would be. You only need to have the .htaccess file in the admin, which will protect /admin /admin/includes /admin/what ever else/is down here/ to be found/ If you placed a .htaccess file in every sub directory then when youd load you admin and it pulled information from /images /includes /includes/languages/ /includes/functions etc... you would receive a log in window for each of them So your admin index.php would pop up multiple login windows to access all the different information in various subdirectories My Contributions Henry Smith
