lildog Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 I have read as much as I could find about yahoo small business account and osC. What i would like to know is is it possible to run osc without the .htaccess and .csvignore files? I am very much regretting signing up with yahoo, but to be short winded would like to stay with yahoo for now at least. If it is possible any advice? Thank you Todd
Guest Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 The .htaccess file basically secures your admin (although there are other ways around that) and is used for rewriting your url for seo purposes. Other than that, it is used to setup for the ssl protocol, so if you aren't using ssl and aren't bothered about rewriting your url's, then its not a big issue. The .cvsignore files are what they say - to be ignored! They are there as a memo of what has been done within folders / files as part of a cvs release; the server doesnt need them at all!
