Jack_mcs Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Do you have ssl enabled in your includes/configure.php file? That should only be enabled if you actaully have an ssl installed. Jack I have the same problem. I've set define('ENABLE_SSL', true); but I still cannot create an account or go to checkout. I went through the SSL certificate generation process on my server but still no joy. Next steps???

To all appearance the SSL generation process worked with SSL certificates, etc., being set up above the Web-visible root. I have made the changes in the include directory but it still doesn't work. Is it necessary to go to geotrust or some other vendor to get an adequate implementation of SSL?
Jack_mcs Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Generating the files for ssl does not mean it will work. You have to have an actual certificate. Some hosts allow you to use theirs for free. If your doesn't, or you don't want to use it (it changes your url), then you would need to purchase one.
