vulpes_panthera Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006  silly question I know but I'm new to this my main website will be a store so should I just put www.mywebsite.com for the area that says "WWW Address" in the installation? or do I need to put mywebsite/catalog which was the example?
Avec Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 If you want someone to open your main site, www.mydomain.com, and there is your store, then yes, that would be the address. If you wanted the store to be in a directory called catalog with a different, non-store main page, then you would include the /catalog.
vulpes_panthera Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 well for some reason it didn't like it when I tried to set it to just www.*mywebsite*.com so I ended up setting it in the catalog folder, but I guess it doesnt really matter, I can live with that as long as it works :-" but now I'm getting this error: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/www/*mywebsite*.com/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. according to the documentation it should be set at 644, which it is, or if I keep getting the error to change it to 444, but the thing is I don't have an option for 444 >_< feel so stupid but I've tried everything I can think of
