makenoiz Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I notice a great support thread started by Chris Sullivan regarding his Flash Contrib - however I need to build a completely FLASH store site. Has anyone done this and integrated osCommerce? The main reason it has to be completely flash is that the client wants constant music. If page header is flash but body XHTML then music will reset upon each page change. Thank you Quote
Top_Speed Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) If you want search engine listings... forget the idea. Yes, you can pass variables from flash into interactive forms etc. but you won't have any content worthy stuff for the SE's to pickup on. I made My 100% flash site and it has tunes and such but not for the actual ecom part (due to the main reason I stated). If you visit you will also none of the .swf (.fla only) files have any PR whatsoever, only the html entrance page with an embeded flash entrance. Let us know what you come up with however! --KJ (Top Speed) Edited March 16, 2006 by Top_Speed Quote define('PROJECTS', 'Something that goes on forever!');

BTW found a great thread regarding FLASH ans SEO..... thought you might enjoy ;) http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum104/597-2-10.htm Quote
Top_Speed Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 (edited) Sorry Make Noiz, The link required user/pass and I didn't go thru (I'm on so many gab darn sites now I can't keep them straight). About the only way I know is to input some <!-- content --> remarks on the html page that loads the swf. Some SE's pick up on comments, some don't. Not sure what the actual "weight" of these are in the SE's algo's however, I'm guessing the weigh factor is not very high.
