Guest Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Hiya, installed Ultimate_SEO_URLs_v2-2.1d, on my site but can't get it to work. All the main pages come up fine, but when selecting a product or category or pretty much anything wlse I just get a page not found error. Checked the install and it's fine. Also, I want to install Thumbnailer_with_Caching_2v2_1_2_3, but have the impreesion it needs to rewrite over some of the Ultimate SEO files. Is there a method to getting them both working? Thanks!

Guest Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Hi Hurl, No mate, the htaccess edit has been done, I pasted it in there as per the instructions. The shop is located in /catalog/ so I used the relevant option, no joy though. Is it something to do with front page extensions or just that file..?
Guest Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I did however, not clue up on the necessary changes to the text provided for the htaccess file. Thanks for putting me on the right track!
gonebored Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I did however, not clue up on the necessary changes to the text provided for the htaccess file. Thanks for putting me on the right track! I have both a thumnailer and SEO installed in my store. With a few other mods and I've got them to all work. The only thing that I am trying to get to work now, is a multiple images add on and it messes with the thumbnailer add on, but I'm not the most knowledgable w/ PHP so its proving to be a little difficult Mike

Next thing I need is to sort out the SSL, but when I get around to it, I'll let you know how I get on. I'm not the most expert when it come to PHP either! It's a great thing to have a resource like this one where people who know what they are doing are about on a daily basis...lol. :D
Guest Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Hi I am stuck at this point. When I try to change the htaccess file within catalog it says Permission Denied. I have tried to change the properties to 777 but it says Operation Not Permitted. Not sure how to amend this. I have full rights. Cheers W Sounds like you might have missed the .htaccess portion of the install
Guest Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Hi I deleted it (not sure how it let me do that (?) and uploaded a new one. (I have posted in the contrib section for this topic too as I didn't realise that existed). Thanks for info. W
