GLS Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I've just moved ISP. I have successfully uploaded the site and db, added the users to the db and everything seemed to be working ok. I've just tried to log into my admin page and the password isn't accepted. I don't know how authorisation works....I uploaded the old .htaccess and .htpasswd files though I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Help....can someone point me in the right direction? Is there a file I can overwrite or is there a problem with the db? Thanks
AlanR Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 You'll need to delete the .htaccess file in /admin and set up a new password on the new server. The new server can not understand the password from the old one. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

This leaves the folder with NO SECURITY so I updated the directory access using the ISP control panel ("plesk>mydomain.com>directories" in my case)
