Fatal error: Failed opening

When I try to start osCommerce from the hosts control panel website I get this message:

Warning: main(includes/languages/.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\hshome\salonser\salon-services.ie\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 130

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in D:\hshome\salonser\salon-services.ie\admin\includes\application_top.php on line 130

I've read the application_top.php file and didn't find 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear')

My host has MySQL, phpMyAdmin and osCommerce installed when you sign up, and I clicked on the "Upgrade" button to get the latest version. Found out that the folders admin, pub and extras were missing from the version on the server. Because the error refers to the admin folder I uploaded those folders from the latest version and also overwrote the files in the catalog folder in case some of them were corrupt or missing. It didn't help.

I mailed the host and got this answer: "As oscommerce has been customized in this instance you may need to contact oscommerce.com We have tested Os Commerce on test domain and found no issue with it.

Could it be something I've done in MySQL that causes the problem? I've replaced all the default categories, subcategories, manufacturers, products and product descriptions with our own ones using phpMyAdmin. I've also removed most of the countries, all languages except English, and all currency except GBP and Euro because we won't export anything

Please help, I'm supposed to have the shop up and running with around 3000+ products in May!

When you remove currencies and languages - only do so from the osCommerce admin panel - don't actually delete the files/folders via FTP.

I removed currencies, countries and languages, changed address formats, added categories, subcategories, manufacturers and products in MySQL using phpMyAdmin so the damage was already done before I ever even tried to open osCommerce. I'm new to this and I thought you needed to create the database in MySQL first before doing anything else. That database is now locked by osCommerce and I can't delete it and start all over again. I have full access to osCommerce via FTP but MySQL and phpMyAdmin are stored on another part of the hosting company's server and I can only access them through an online control panel. What can I do now? I have saved the database on my computer - shall I ask the host company to delete it from the server? Would it help if I copied the latest version of osCommerce up to the server or would it only make it worse?
