I have just bought web hosting from a company called web-mania.com they say they support oscommerce, so i have downloaded the files from oscommerce site and then uploaded them using cuteftp and according to a magazine i read you then need to go into the insatll files of oscommerce downloads to install it but it won't let me it just keeps asking me what program i want to open the file with. any ideas will be fantastic thanks Rhys

Seeing oscommerce hasn't been installed yet, this should launch the installation file automatically.
jasonabc Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 usually this means that your ISP offers OSC as an e-commerce option. All you have to do is find the installer icon in your Hosting Control Panel - that will take care of installing the files, creating the database and getting the default install working.
