john0525 Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 We have an issue. Any non-US resident is not making it through the Paypal process - our only accepted form of payment. Paypal support has looked at out configuration and has stated that everything is fine from the account standpoint. So far this year we have lost in excess of 80 sales. Has anyone experienced this or might be able to point us in the proper direction? Also occasionally on the US customers the Paypal transaction completes and never returns the IPN. Any help is appreciated. Quote

If the payment is completed then IPN ( Imeediate Payment Notification ) through paypal back end system will always happen. Its nly if your page is not accessible that it will not reach your page or if there is a bug in your page to collect those values and place it in the table. I suggest you to create a file that is appended with some inputs whenever an IPN is received this will clarify what went wrong. Any Non US customers not able to make Payment. Check you payment acceptance setting in Paypal there you might have set to no. The other issues you need to check is the time out setting amd the currency support. Please do put more details as to contribution used currency supported and an example of a non us person payment failure will help in answering your queries furthe. john0525 Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 Satish, Thank you for your reply. We are using the Paypal contribution. I have cgecked the settings with Paypal again and all settings alloe for us to collect monies in any currency. I cannot find where to set any timeout setting either in Paypal account settings or in the admin screen for OSCommerce. Any additional assistance incuding where to find the timeout setting would be helpful. satish Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Hello Jhon, Paypal contributions are many. From your explanation it appears that you are using IPN contribution by OSC team. We need to chec k the following as per the logical reasons: 1)What type of currency are wesupporting. 2)Are there zones defined within and if so probably I recommend to set it too none and try. Also please provide the details as to what extent are the Non US clients able to browse your site. Satish Quote Ask/Skype for Free osCommerce value addon/SEO suggestion tips for your site.
