Prince Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Maybe you should check with your host, me with my hosting my username is always thebear_username i choose and database name is thebear_database name i choose The_Bear Hi, I am also having the same problem. My database details are: Database Server: localhost Username: password: Databasename: shopdb Persistent: checked sassion storage: database I am getting the error Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) can any one guide me? thanks in adv.
kgt Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost' (using password: NO) When you're asking for help, especially if it's database related, you should mention whether you're using a remote webhost or using a local install on your own PC. The 'ODBC' part of the message indicates to me you're on Windows, and likely on your own PC. You will need to specify a username and password for your database. If you don't have a username and password, you need to create one. spindem, I second The_Bear. Check with your host whether you have your information correct.
