tubarao21 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Hi there. My site has been working well. Can't complain ;) But now i found a little thing. My site is a book store, and i adapted the Model Name to Author Name. And was a good solution. Now i cant' put bigger names. I can write up to 12 or characters or sometimes 13 characters. Where can i change this. I went to configurations and the most alike option was Maximum Lenght of Manufacturer. This didn't work. How can i change this? Thanks for your attention ;)

Thanks for your attention ;) you can change the lenght of Model Name in your phpmyadmin - table products/products_model/varchar(12) change to (e.g. 20). backup database because i don't know sql very well. i won't be responsible if your database crashes. but it is not very wise to use model name like author's name - u will get duplicated model names. think about it.
tubarao21 Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 Ok. Thanks. It worked ;) About adapting Model name to Author Name, i just replaced the label 'Model', but yes, i agree, i'll have duplicate values. Is it so bad, considering the nature of my business?
