Silverado05 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hello, I am looking for some suggestions on a contribution that will allow me to offer price breaks per product if a certain qty is purchased. For example, if you buy 3 of one product it will give you so many dollars off or precent off. But I would like the option to assign this to each product that I choose and have the option to select if the discount is percent off or cheaper price (I.E. $7.99 for one buy three for $4.99) I have found a few but I am not sure if they are what I am looking for. I did try to install the Quantiy price break per product contribuition but am not able to install it due to other mods install on the shop and I am not real sure how to go about it since one step it's asking to overwrite some code that was modded from another contributuion. So can anyone point me towards a solution for me? -Thanks  Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. ♥14steve14 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 What you really ned to do is to look to se the differences between the code you have and what they ask to add. I added this contribution after i installed several other contributions. The hardest page was the product info where i had already installed header tags, and others. Once you find the piece of code to add its not that hard. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
Silverado05 Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 The code is completely different. It would overide the contribution I have already installed. I have over 30 contribtuons installed on my shop successfully with no problems and it's been running for over a year. So trying to add new ones are tricky Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. choosealogin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Do you have win merge? With that you can view the two files side by side and see where to stick the new code. I understand it's tough at that point, but win merge should help at least.
Silverado05 Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 Yes I have it and used that. Adding code is not the problem though. The code it is asking to add will replace code from another contribution, that's where the problem lies. So before I dive into this I want to make sure I am going to be installing exactly what I am needing. The install.txt on the two I have found are not very reader friendly. ♥14steve14 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 What other contribution do you have installed that will cause problems. Maybe someone else has combined the two REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
Silverado05 Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 LoL... Alot, I have about 40-50 installed. As you can see I orignally posted this back in March. So I have forget just exactly what the conflict I was having. I think it was because of overlapping code. It has moved up my ladder though so I will probably try to work on it today or Wednesday. I have two that I am not looking forward to doing because I have to merge code. That's why I am looking for other options before I dive right into one and get messy, you know what I mean? Thank you for the replies and follow up though, I really appreciate it. -Thanks Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post.
