Minimum Order Contribution???

I have wholesalers and retailers on my site. I would like to set a minimum order for wholesale customers. I was curious if there is a contribution that would not allow them to check out if the total in their shopping cart did was not above the minimum order. I do not want the minimum order to include shipping charges.

Thanks for any help,

Amanda

Thank you for this link but I don't see anything that tells me that it will give me the option of setting just the wholesale people to a minimum order amount. Do you know if it can do this?

Amanda;

You are really better off having a seperate website for wholesale. I did it on a subdomain.

http://www.misterbling.com is retail

http://www.wholesale.misterbling.com is wholesale

I installed minimum order quantity for the total amount of items and also installed minimum quantity per item. So that some items for example you have to buy at least 20 but total minimum must be 50.

The seperate site from an SEO standpoint is necessary, and for all practical purposes from newsletters to order processing it's better IMHO.

Thank you for the information. Honestly I think if I were going to set up minimum order quantities I would definately do it as a subdomain. Since I wasn't requiring a minimum of a specific item and just that the order total had to be a certain amount I decided that it would probably make things simpler to have one site and not confuse anyone (especially me). I did however receive a post will all the information on setting this up in one site which was wonder and works perfectly. Someone should really put all that together and put it in the contribution section as it spans over a few posts.

Thank you for your help,

Amanda
